Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Shocking News From a 16 Year Old

How can you become the number one grappler in the country, keep your grades up, stay in shape, have a positive attitude, and still be able to have lots of fun at the same time? Well, let’s try three words…Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! Since you know the name of what you want to do, I guess you should hear about some of the benefits you will get out of it. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art where you will learn how to be disciplined, taught great moves for self-defense, and good workouts while having fun all in one, it’s like a bundle package. Everything you want to get out of football, basketball, soccer, tennis etc. you will get out of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but even more.

I am 16 years old and have a cumulative of 3.0 GPA my first two years in high school. Having to go through so much already in my young life, I came out on top and I owe it all to martial arts. Having martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in my corner to help me out with anything I have to go through is a blessing. Okay, enough with my story lets talk about some Jiu Jitsu. Grappling (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) is great for your body. The techniques allow you to use different parts of your body, strengthening your muscles, where you will learn how to apply pressure on your opponents without using your hands. Also, just about every move you will learn can and will put you in the better position of attack or, in self-defense reference, escape. But it’s not just the body that will become stronger, your mind will strengthen and you will have the MIND OF A CHAMPION.

Yes, a champion is what you will become when you get thee right attitude about life, academics, your occupation, and sports. The only way to do so is if you have the mindset of a champion. You have to think like a champion in order to be one. It’s not about talk; you have to «walk to walk before you can talk the talk». Training hard for months getting ready for a huge competition or event is «walking the walk’ but if you just say you want to do it or your going to do it but never do what you said, then you’re your wasting your time talking. I have been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for about eight years now and have achieved the number one ranking in 2005 as a kid and currently the number one overall grappler in the country holding multiple titles in numerous grappling events and I train hard everyday. So that tells me Brazilian Jiu Jitsu produces champions in martial arts, academics, and everyday life.
