France Football has already notified Lionel Messi that he is the winner of the Ballon d’Or 2021!

Messi has even recorded a special interview for the publication in honor of his victory.

It is expected that Robert Lewandowski will take the second place in the voting, and the third – Karim Benzema. Cristiano Ronaldo risks not even getting into the top 5.

  13. Ronaldo to win the golden ball needs to win Champions League, Formula 1, MotoGP, NBA, Nobel Prize.   19. people need to remember football is a team sport, not an individual sport. the award is based off of individual performance, not collective performance. IMO Lewandowski deserves it for breaking the Bundesliga goalscoring record alone and scoring 48 across all comps. and 7 assists. Even with Messi being Messi I think Lewandowski should win it. Idk if i’m the only one, but i think putting big emphasis on international competition is a bit unfair when you consider that there are players that are considered some of the world’s best, that don’t play for a top national team, thus not getting a real shot to succeed with their country in international competition like, for ex: Lewandowski, Salah, Haaland, etc.
