ESPN sucks!
Where was Alabama before Saban got there? Irrelevant! Once he retires or dies. Alabama again will be irrelevant. Prove me wrong!
We didn’t know how right he was
The Texas football program is a joke! Heart broken fan since ‘64 ? pick the right people and
let them do their job! Fat cats won’t quit meddling so Texas still sucks! All getting real stale!
SEC? Maybe Texas should consider a recreation flag football league!
The recruits don't seem very interested in Texas. They're too young now to remember Vince Young's two Rose Bowl wins (pun intended). Otherwise the program doesn't offer them too much and too many options to go to other schools.
And they won't be relevant in the SEC either.
Lol boy did Finebaum change his tune.
I agree… to get to New Years bowls once every 10 years makes you lose recruits and if recruits don't see it, you're not relevant anymore. There's at least 12 schools I'd be looking at before Texas and at least 1 school before Texas in state.
Does Finebaum wanna retake?
But their football program’s MONEY is ALWAYS relevant.
Now Paul on dem ? lol funny how that works. The sec has been recruiting against Texas for 15 years
This aged well. Now you are praising Texas for how relevant they are. Haha
Texas never was relevant minus a few years that Mack was there
They couldn’t even beat TCU, Texas is like my drunk buddy who wants to fight everyone but gets womped even by the bigger girls.
F Texas and everything that it stands for????? GO NOLES
I'm a fan of UT, I think they need to join the SEC , more recruits will want to go there , just like Tx A&M did
Hide and watch m/
Truth, they suck now and have sucked for years. Break out the VHS tapes texas fans. Its all ya got.
Idiots like Finebaum have said "click-bait" bs like this for decades. Texas isn't relevant (then Vince Young and the Horns win it all)… years go by and they start saying it again …
Roll Tide.
What’s Texas’s recruiting pitch? “Hey Mr. 4-5* player. Dont go to Oklahoma, LSU, or Alabama where youll olay in the NFL. Come to Texas where youll be a car salesman or selling insurance when you graduate.”
Our problem is that our program is run by a collection of Jerry Jones type individuals. You can get by with that in the pros but its a recipe for disaster and mediocrity at the college level. I pray we have success and that that success convinces the prominent boosters to not meddle and just let our guy coach and do his job.
Charlie Strong and Tom Herman both both assembled a rogue's gallery of ineptitude and inexperience for their respective staffs. Sark has assembled a legit staff, better than any in recent memory at Texas. Remains to be seen how things will turn out but this at least has given Texas fans hope.
Somebody had to say it…Houston is doing better than Texas…
I think not relevant is corporate speak for they are not any good. They should just keep it simple and say that.
I'm an OU fan and I want Texas to be good again. As long as they lose that game in October, a strong Texas program is good for the Big 12 and college football as a whole.
Should high school players get paid too ?
He's right; UT, Lands good recruits every year n shits the bed
When you generate the kind of cash that Texas does, you tend to stay relevant even during down years. This is just Paul being outlandish for the publicity.
Thank you Paul
The last thing to say to Paul, thank you.
With a school like Texas they can go from being irrelevant to a power house in a short amount of time. Before Saban even Bama had went through a long stretch of being irrelevant. with schools like that once they start winning it’s a lot easier to build on that success into becoming a juggernaut
Of course inbread looking big Ears never mentions his beloved Tennessee.
They are too liberal is the problem. And had to get the coach with a black wife.
Texas A&M rules that state
Paul is the most reliable source here. After all that man can probably hear the future.
The bald guy wants you just to watch Alabama in the national champ game every year!
Well then why are you talking about Texas?
And not one single sportswriter or sportscaster in the world is relevant. Or ever was
Paul finebaum is irrelevant… Smh
Simple. They have to keep high level Texas recruits in Texas.
True you have to do something
The eyes of Texas are no longer upon the Longhorns
Texas had won the last 3 Boxl Games, Ask Georgia, Utah and Colorado if Texas is relevant Paul get your nose out of the SECANM’s fixing to teach you a lesson Texas boys are
Truth hurts
Their greed in setting up the Longhorn network years ago weakened the conference (not OU). They haven’t been competitive since. But hey, as a business, don’t they out-earn all of the other “schools” out there?
Sark is NOT an upgrade from Herman. I've been a Horn fan since 1963, I am not optimistic about 2021.Saw clip of him talking about how he was gonna put the best players on the field, and get the ball to the "playmakers"……wow….no coach in FB tries to do that? Sheesh.
Lmao i just moved to Austin and hearing austin sports radio react to this was gold. Theyre so delusional
If the city of Austin ever gets real with major league sports (NBA, NFL, MLB) you can kiss that football program goodbye. They have a unique situation in that they’re located in the heart of one of the 10th largest cities in the U.S., but they have no professional sports programs. Eventually, major league sports will make their way in and fracture UTs monopoly on sports in Austin. The boosters know this, and they’re probably the ones blocking professional sports in Austin.
