  1. Yes I’m sure an 87 year old man worth only slightly more than the club and with no ties to Chelsea will put winning above profit… yeah right. I pray Roman doesn’t do this to us. Don’t sell our club to such obvious money driven ownership

  2. It is very very sad and I’m so upset and heart broken at the same time to see this is really gonna happen to us die hearted blue bloods…. To me this is discrimination.. cause if Roman was poor he would not have to do this… why isn’t the poor ?? them that lives in UK is not being sanctioned..but nevertheless I don’t give a f… who buys us. Cause I won’t even recognize him nor even say hi… Team Roman if life…. Die hearted Chelsea girl if life…

  3. When the Americans and the Brits invaded four countries and killed over a million people, we didn't hear a word of sanctions, the West work like a wolves pack, the attack together, kill together and they sanction together. Total bs. ????

  4. I started watching Chelsea just last year here in Wisconsin, USA basically because of Christian Pulisic. The Premeir league is on every weekend starting early, 6am central time, and I have enjoyed watching greatly. Watching Chelsea FC win is second now to my hometown Green Bay Packers. Which is saying something considering the Milwaukee Bucks won the NBA last year. I hope Chelsea FC gets another HUNGRY owner that wants silverware not just an ROI to make them happy. Go Blues!!

  5. I don't believe it.. 2 years ago we had the rumour mill going forvte club to sell to ineos…. its all rubbish don't read into the trash media guys , roman will do everything for his club .

  6. Its a swiss surname meaning in swiss-German "white". It's pronounced like vis from Visconsin but with a "W" at the beginning pronounced like the "w" in whale and the "I" is stretched out and pronounced like the "E" in eagle. So basically something like: WEES. Actually pretty similar to weed expect an s at the and.

  7. Rumours have it Chelsea have buy back clauses on Timo Livramento, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tamori . Come on Roman you know it makes sense 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

  8. Good riddance to the criminal.
stole his billions from the Russian people.
    worked for Israeli Mossad.
Donated 100 million to Israeli company building houses on stolen Palestinian land.
    I could list much more.
Chelsea fans where is your moral compass?
From all accounts Hanjorg is very decent intelligent liberal who had donated hundreds of millions to good causes such as the environment.

  9. My hope is someone that doesn’t care for too much control. Hire people that know the sport and can make those decisions for you and just stay on the business side of things. My fear is someone that just is doing it for the money and not passionate about the game

  10. For the U.S.A.

What I know about the potential buyer for Chelsea FC.

An octogenarian Swiss billionaire, who makes his home in Wyoming and has donated hundreds of millions to environmental causes is a surprise new player in the bidding for Tribune Publishing, owner of The Baltimore Sun. The newspaper chain until recently seemed destined to end up in the hands of a New York hedge fund.

Hansjörg Wyss (pronounced Hans-yorg Vees), the former CEO of medical device manufacturer Synthes, said in an interview Friday that he had agreed to join with Maryland hotelier Stewart W. Bainum Jr. in a bid for Tribune Publishing. The two will be racing against the clock to raise the funds needed for an offer strong enough to upend Alden Global Capital’s plan to take full ownership of the company.

Wyss, born in Bern, first visited the United States as an exchange student in 1958, working for the Colorado Highway Department. He was a journalist as a young man, he said, covering skiing for Neue Zürcher Zeitung, a Zurich paper, and filing dispatches on American sports to Der Bund, a Bern paper, when he was studying at Harvard Business School.

Wyss had come to believe, after associates examined the Tribune’s finances as part of a due diligence process, it would be difficult for him to realize his ambition of transforming The Chicago Tribune — the company’s flagship paper and the one he was most interested in — into a national publication.
