Arsenal are said to be ‘very close’ to sealing a deal to bring Gabriel Jesus to the Emirates.

With the news that Alexandre Lacazette is set to return to Lyon on a free transfer, Arsenal are said to be ‘very close’ to agreeing a deal in the region of €50m-€60m to bring Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

With Tottenham and a host of others said to be after his signature, it is being reported that the Brazilian is keen to hook up with Mikel Arteta once again, despite the Gunners being without Champions League football for next season.

Speaking after he scored for Brazil against South Korea in a 5-1 win, Jesus said, “I’m looking to see what’s best for me and above all, for my career.

“From Tuesday, we’ll see what is the best.”

  1. As an Arsenal fan, if we get these done within the next 2 weeks I will be happy. It cannot be denied that they are quality players. And getting business done early is something Arsenal have never been good at. So to change that would be massive. Add in that there could be 1-2 more high quality signings, and that would be an excellent window. Not sure what more we could ask for.

  10. Quite literally City failures. Zinchenko had both Mendy (who's a meady at times while playing) & Cancelo- who's made that his role even though it was more of an experiment .
    Gabriel had a chance three seasons ago when Aguero started having longer injury spells as and the beginning of the 2020 season & Pep concluded his doesn't need striker if Jesus is all he has to work with. genuis but foden, Grealish KDB Sterling played more as striker then him.

  16. Most important signing for us terry is a new experienced winner manager and a top class DOF or TD but that ain’t happening sadly
