The chances of Lionel Messi returning to Barcelona are now said to be «very remote», according to a new report in Spain. Messi is in the final year of his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain and could be free to negotiate a return to Barcelona in January, once he has entered the final six months of his contract at the Parc des Princes. Earlier this week, reports in Spain suggested Messi was set to snub the offer of a contract extension in order to return to Barcelona for the start of next season. It followed claims by Barcelona’s vice-president of economics, Eduard Romeu, that a contract offer for Messi was financially «possible» for the Catalan club. But a return to the Nou Camp for Messi is by no means a certainty, according to the Spanish publication Marca. The Spanish publication claims that Messi now has a «frosty» relationship with his former club after feeling «betrayed» by club president Joan Laporta over his shock move to PSG in 2021.

I’m in two minds whether I’d like to see Messi back at Barca 🤔 Yes, it would be nice to see him play at Camp Nou again but then again I think the change will do him and his career good, although I don’t know if staying at PSG is the best with Mbappe’s childish antics 🙄 Perhaps City with Pep if he is still manager 🤔 Just image Messi in midfield with his playmaking and Harrland forward… damn 🔥

    It is in heart …. He will only reject Barca , for only the good for future of the club … he will never reject Barca , just beacuse of the revenge to one and only one person . That does not make sense at all ..

    We have already built a powerful sporting project for young players …. Now i think , anything interrupting the rythm of the growth of that sporting project , should not be wise at all ….
