Breaking Ohio State Football News as 5-Star Quarterback, Dylan Raiola, Decommits from the Buckeyes Football program! What impact will this have on the program and the other recruits we just spoke about?

Ohio State still has the brand and the reputation to attract these top tier recruits, but where do they stand in the N.I.L. discussion? What else can be done?

COMMENT WHAT YOU BELIEVE NEEDS TO BE DONE IN ORDER TO KEEP UP IN THE NIL RACE WITH THE OTHER SCHOOLS!!

Is this a decision based on NIL? Is it a decision based on the recent commitment of Class of 2023 QB, Lincoln Kienholz? What is N.I.L. doing to college football right now?

  1. Blood is thicker than water(money). He’s already a rich kid. So it’s probably not NIL. His dad played at Nebraska and now his uncle is going to be the OC there. They’re new head coach is no different than the SEC and most other programs. They’re going to do what ever they can get away with to make they’re programs better. No rules no sweat for some schools. So what OSU and DAY does is anyones guess. Will the Buckeyes become the toast of the town again or just toast.

  2. I think he ultimately just wanted to be a Husker. Reports are Frost didn’t really try to recruit him. Dylan and his family felt disrespected so he committed to OSU, Frost gets fired and the family is welcomed back. His uncle gave the seal of approval on the new coach and staff and Rhule showed the kid love and the kids heart was ultimately always with Nebraska. How many legacy kids has OSU got. It happened a and it’s understandable.

Secondly, OSU has massive NIL budgets. Easily top 5. It’s not NIL as much as it is the portal. Kids wanna play, and if they can go to X and play while still making decent money, they will. Because it’s really about getting to the NFL. If a kid is not playing much, and can transfer and get more playing time they will.

  3. Nebraska is still a blue blood for now and it’s not surprising at all that they are one of the better schools for NIL. They have a loyal fan base and the school has that 💰💵

  4. You guys are talking crap the Buckeyes already got three quarterbacks as good as riola riola is still in high school he ain't prove nobody nothing let Nebraska have him he can go up there and fade away with the rest of the ones that never made anything out of themselves we've got good Buckeye quarterbacks coming in don't you worry about the Buckeye quarterback situation we are good

  5. He doesn’t want to be a Buckeye? We don’t want him either.
No love lost, not all. He committed and didn’t keep his word.
Bye bye, have a nice life.
We will still be The Ohio State and we will still be a top ranked program.

  6. NIL is a double edged sword. I agree that student athletes should receive something for campuses and companies using name image and likeness but paying a kid hundreds of thousands of dollars or millions to play is way over the top. I think there should be a cap with incentives for performance. This NIL will create nothing but more problems in my opinion.

  7. I don't think it's the Nebraska thing. I think he's going to end up at USC bc we r an abomination at NIL & listening to Gene Smith we're in no hurry to catch up & by catching up I mean just be competitive in the market. I think Ryan Day has took a step back with CJ even though he's projected as a 1st RP I honestly never see him step up into the pocket & we all know he refuses to use his legs to take pressure off the O. Indiana was their best game & the team got worse af the bye wk. As a Buckeye fan we should be feeling good that we got a 2nd chance but something feels off ab the program esply with all the new changes. Sorry I went long but losing Rayola was a gut punch. Go win it all & be Legendary

  8. It's got nothing to do with NIL ohio state told him they weren't going after anyone else. Thedecision…… OHIO STATE does the opposite. He probably wants coaches he can trust on such a HUGE decission……

  9. If Ohio State wants to break out with nil the best thing they can do is follow Zack and Chris to kick this off big time and if rayola is afraid of competition I'm not sure that's the case but if it is we don't need him anyway go Bucks

  10. This is due to the fact that his Dad played there and now his Uncle has been hired to be the OL Coach. He was probably under incredible pressure from his family. This is The Ohio State University, if any player thinks they are coming here and not compete at the highest level, don't come here. Fields came here and then Martel bails. Yet Fields came when he was here. Kienholz committed to come here just a little over a week from signing day knowing who was already here, McCord and Devin Brown with at time Raiola was coming after his freshman year. All I have heard and read about the three time SD State championship QB is how much of a leader he is for his team and his community. Lots of grit and a tough runner with a strong arm and great throwing on the run. He may just be really hard to keep on the bench by the guys already there. He is exactly what the Buckeyes need.

  11. NIL is what it is, to be honest about it I'm not for building a program by just buying these players right out of HS. To many of them don't work out. I have no problem paying these young men but 4 to 8 mil to come here get out of here.

  12. In the NIL era I'm not going to get invested in guys until they are signed. Looks like other teams will have more NIL than us also, which is not good at all.. .
