  6. I'd like to speak directly to today's parents. WHERE ARE YOU??? There are far too many absentee parents. Even parents living with their kids are not available and present for their kids. We need to start putting these parents in prison, right alongside their raging kids. If you don't want to deal with your kids, outside of prison, then maybe you'll want to finally deal with your kids in a jail cell! These lousy, good-for-nothing parents, who are just getting knocked up, leaving their kids with grandparents, are ghetto and ratchet. America desperately needs HIGHER-QUALITY PARENTS. Colleges and universities could also do a lot more to support first-generation college students who come from these at-risk, dysfunctional home environments. RAISE YOUR KIDS!!!! BE A RESPONSIBLE PARENT. This isn't fair to unleash raging, angry, and unsupportive kids onto everyone else in this world. If you don't want to raise kids and you're not financially capable of even taking care of yourself, then please USE PROTECTION and BIRTH CONTROL. Practice abstinence, since you should be focusing on continuing your education in college, networking with other professionals in your field, acquiring marketable skills, and getting a CAREER that pays above minimum wage. There should be NO TIME for having sex anyway, with a busy schedule. Then GET MARRIED and PLAN for a family, so that it isn't a "surprise" and you're well prepared for your kid to come into the world. Set goals and establish PRIORITIES!!!

  7. There is no excuse for what this student did, which was unacceptable and horrendous. However, more colleges and universities could do a lot more to support first-generation college students who come from at-risk and dysfunctional home environments. When at-risk students attend college, they have no idea what they're doing. They don't know how to relate to college, relate to professors and other college students. Christopher Jones, Jr., the shooter, hadn't been living with his parents since he was 16. His father, who was interviewed about the shooting, seemed apathetic. His father even trivialized his son's cries for help before the shooting occurred. It takes a lot for children to come to their parents for help, and Christopher told his father that he was being bullied by other students and he felt paranoid. All signs point to a home that was completely unsupportive and dysfunctional. Christopher basically had no parents. He was living with his grandmother prior to going to college, which is typical in at-risk communities.

    I was an educator in predominately black schools for many years. Witnessing the rampant dysfunction in many of today's families, It is only by God's grace that more students don't go this way. There are far too many people without values and standards. People are not having kids (on purpose). They are not living right and respecting the difference between right and wrong. Students are outrageously disrespectful towards teachers and other students in many of today's schools, from elementary school and beyond. Adults don't want to act mature anymore and do grown-up things, like get married, PLAN for a family, and set expectations and goals for themselves and their kids. People are making poor choices and children today are showing us (in their behavior) the outcome of a degenerate society.

  12. Although you cannot prevent it, wouldn't you think it'd be wise to look at WHY? Why are these situations happening at work, school etc.. It's always blamed on the person who lost it and not the ones who caused it. There are consequences behind actions we make. There are consequences behind how we treat others. If we treat people good chances are we get that reciprocated. If we treat them bad chances are we will get that reciprocated. If you really study the WHY in some of these shootings you can def tell the person got picked on. The going thing now is to say oh "he was so nice as a kid", "oh he sensitive", "well we all got picked on". Treat people with kindness and respect and love. Then watch these situations go away or lessen significantly.

  13. So everyone going keep beating around the bush African American men need to be regulated on what school they go to there record all the way back to child birth. And if they have so much as a misdemeanor any childhood issues stuff like that… do not let them go to these prestigious university's I refuse to put my family at risk for some fellows getting in a simple argument and letting out shots as you can see these are not good boys you never heard of this years ago shooting at UVA unheard of but as more of the foreign population moves in they brings violence. What do you expect let criminals in your school there's going to be more shootings. Only way to stop it is regulate them more tightly, not them in unless gpa 4.0 and no infraction on record since child birth. It could have saved the good boys that were killed in this video didn't like to tote hand guns don't like violence worked there whole life to get into UVA and you take that from these real men. So sad and disgusting there lack of care for human life for what emotion and vengeance these young men need to regulated more thoroughly, this killer didn't even deserve a spot in UVA barley skimming by on grades has record, he should have never step foot on that campus. People like this do not deserve this opportunity and and should be cut off in the application process for the school do not let fellows like this in our school or it could be your family next.

  24. Sending my deepest condolences to all the families and students and staff of that university. This world is definitely coming to an end. This generation of children has taken things to a whole different level. When I was a teen I never thought about getting into gangs, shooting or even stabbing. I was to busy being cute going out to the clubs and just having fun. These young people are killing each other when they should keep their heads in them books so that they can become someone important and teaching others how not to make a bad decision that can leave them in prison for the rest of their life's…

  26. It’s alleged he was the blunt of criticism & bullying for his academic success. If it’s true, Matthew & some friends experienced similar tactics for attempting to become academic successes instead of becoming members of neighborhood gangs. Our young people have a constant need to force their friends into gangs. If they resist often something bad will happen to them which are major causes many teenagers cannot visit other parts of Portsmouth, Norfolk, Hampton, Newport News, and Suffolk without a shooting occurring. When Will Our So Call Leaders Admit We Must, Repeat Must Examine & Change Major Parts Of Our Beliefs, Customs & Culture Before We Can Cease Or End Our Murders? Cease living in your past. Learn to forgive & learn to love all people.

  34. Just stopped in Virginia. Sending condolences and many 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 from New Jersey. Sad times we live in that we have to be concerned when sending their children to school. Tragically its now universities down to elementary school babies. Handsome young men who's families will never know what their future held. Condolences 🙏🏽 again to the families
