  1. So are you guys ready for the hype machine to pump up Manning? If and when Ewers goes down this coming season, you will see the real Manning. Please search and watch Manning's last HS game and get a preview.

  2. @Bobby Burton
When I ultimately retire, I want to hang out with you and go to Longhorn practices to report on the team. I'll drive.
    1. As good as Kelvin Banks is and as highly as he is viewed by Longhorn Nation, the Left Tackle position, like every position on the roster, needs a reserve that is good enough to start also.
    2. The Linebacker position might be the only position that truly demands a talent influx by the True Freshmen. Even with the experience that David Gbenda has, I do not foresee Gbenda playing well enough to outplay Anthony Hill. My view is that Texas needs dominant players as starters in every position. I like Gbenda, but he has not produced at a level that causes me to think he would be a dominant starter for Texas.
    3. I really like Morice Blackwell, but I am beginning to view him almost like Drew Kelson. The Strength and Conditioning Staff failed Blackwell by not physically developing him between his Freshman and Sophomore years. How on God's earth did Blackwell go from 203 as a True Freshman to 196 as a Sophomore? To me, that weight reduction devolved his progression as a Linebacker and it prevented him from growing as a Linebacker. Blackwell is currently listed at 213. Had he been 213 last year, then further develop to 220/225 this season, with his physicality, I would view him as the primary Linebacker to replace DeMarvion Overshown. I just do not see him gaining enough pure muscle quickly enough to hold off Anthony Hill, who is equally as physical and 20 pounds bigger.
    4. Terrance Brooks has the talent, the technique, and the understanding to play the Field Corner position better than a faster and more athletic D'Shawn Jamison played the position over the past four years. As productive as I think Brooks can be at Field Corner this season, I foresee his long term position as Boundary Corner. I think it is just a matter of time before Malik Muhammad takes over at Field Corner. What I hope occurs at Corner is that Ryan Watts has an All Conference First Team season at Boundary Corner, then turns pro. That is similar to my hope that Quinn Ewers has an All Conference First Team season at Quarterback, then turns pro.
    5. Jerrin Thompson nor Jalen Catalon are big Safeties. The fact that neither of them exceed 200 pounds is not the biggest issue for me with them both starting at Safety. The bigger issue is that neither of them run close to a 4.4 40 yard dash. Texas needs at least one Safety that plays the position great and is a burner also. I think it is the reason Coach Kwiatkowski does not want the Corners consistently playing press coverage.

  3. Sark needs to let Manning redshirt… he’s gonna be better. Acted like there was a plan in the beginning and now I feel like he’s going to end up being rushed into starting

  4. Let the Arch Manning dick riding saga begin. Arch isn't Second string in won't be. But honestly Maalik should transfer now. Don't be a insurance policy behind guys you are better than. The racist booster want Ewer in Arch on the field. Seeing how Sark is the booster whipping boy he should leave asap in to a less racist school
