Liverpool fans held rally in support of Ronaldo
In the seventh minute of the game, Liverpool supporters applauded Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who announced the death of his newborn baby boy the day before. Fans sang the famous song “You’ll never walk alone”. The Portuguese was not present at Anfield. Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp supported the rally and also applauded along with the fans. ‘We fell for Cristiano and his family, so many things are much more important than football’, Klopp said after the final whistle. What a nice gesture it was! Bravo!
