FIFA President Gianni Infantino has called for a «rapid cessation of hostilities» in Ukraine while also denouncing the Russian «use of force» against its neighbour.
Russia launched an all-out invasion of Ukraine by land, sea, and air early yesterday, sparking immediate sporting ramifications.
Infantino said FIFA was monitoring the situation and would provide further updates regarding World Cup qualifiers involving Russia.
Meanwhile, the Kenyan Football Federation and Zimbabwean Football Association have been suspended with immediate effect for undue interference by the government
