Qatari Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, chairman of the board of Qatar Islamic Bank, has made an official offer to buy Manchester United.
“Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani today confirmed his submission of a bid for 100 per cent of Manchester United F.C.
The bid plans to return the Club to its former glories both on and off the pitch, and — above all — will seek to place the fans at the heart of Manchester United once more.
The bid will be completely debt free via Sheikh Jassim’s Nine Two Foundation, which will look to invest in the football teams, the training center, the stadium and wider infrastructure, the fan experience and the communities the Club supports.
The vision of the bid is for Manchester United to be renowned for footballing excellence, and regarded as the greatest football club in the world.
More details of the bid will be released, when appropriate, if and when the bid process develops.» the Sheikh said in a statement.
According to L’Equipe journalist Loic Tanzi, the Sheikh has offered 4.5 billion euros for the club.

Ratcliffe enters race with bid to buy Manchester United

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS group have reportedly submitted an official bid to purchase Manchester United from the Glazer family, following a first bid lodged by a Qatari Sheikh, believed to be in the region of £4.5billion.
Britain’s richest man Ratcliffe, 70, had reportedly hired Wall Street giants JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs to advise him on his bid.
And according to the Athletic, Ratcliffe has now also made an official bid to buy the club, with hopes, per sources close to the British billionaire, that he can ‘put the Manchester back in Manchester United’ if his bid is successful.
